The Sydney Harbour Bridge is a magnificent site at the best of times…it looks even better from the water in my eyes.

So there’s my spur of the moment update.

But wait don’t leave it just gets better as a few minutes later we pass under the Sydney harbour bridge.

I can’t help myself and whip out the video camera again…check it out

Have you ever been under that magnificent engineering feat before and looked up?

Amazing…it just gives it a whole different size perspective.

And how small do the Sydney Harbour bridge walkers look.

I could not help myself with having to include the Sydney Opera house and a quick pan around the city.

Sydney is deserving of its reputation as one of the most beautiful cities in the world in my mind.

In case you are wondering what was I doing on the Sydney Harbour…well glad you asked as I can highly recommend the lunch time cruise we experienced.

Very comfortable, nice food and a great commentary all added up to a very worthwhile couple of hours.

Stay tuned as we share the next the joys and a few frustrations that can crop up in anyone’s travel.

So until then…

enjoy yourself.

I just love the way travel continues to educate me with life enhancing experiences!!!

Have you ever found yourself wondering…would this (experience/event) have happened if I never travelled?

I certainly do…and much more so as I get older. In case you are wondering I am 54 in September. So yes I am still young.

Recently Nilla and I ventured to Peru…nothing unusual or life changing about that except 6 years ago after my last trip to Peru I swore blind that there was no way I would ever go near that country again.

And yet here I am recently returned with the added bonus of having learned a great lesson in life…one I feel so strongly could also apply to you.

I just knew I had to share this valuable lesson so I made a short 4 min video where I go into detail.

Please take a few minutes and check it out now. Then share you comments.

If you don’t have time to watch the video then check out my summary below the video.

Here is a lesson in life for anyone who has ever said NEVER AGAIN!!!

I am sure you have said never again more than once in your life …right!!!

Well I did too…one such occasion was after I got violently ill with altitude sickness in Cuzco Peru.

Believe me 6 years ago there was a 100% definite NEVER AGAIN will I ever visit Cuzco.

So what happened for me to change my mind…simply the benefit of going became more than not going back.

And that is my point…time and circumstances helped me to look at Cusco through different eyes.

Not easy to do…and certainly much harder to follow through on as well.

The benefits to me, my family and my life from going back to Cuzco will be measured many times into the future as situations come up that I originally may think are not negotiable so to speak. All I will need to do is say CUZCO and I know my mind set will become more open.

Take a moment now and look on your life…do you have NEVER AGAIN issues or events that if revisited just may return you a difference result?

The interesting thing this also works in reverse…we see it all time where people return to a destination that gave them a huge high only to be disappointed the second time. It is somehow not the same…mmm… interesting how the mind works hey!!!

That was my experience perhaps you have a comment or would like to share something that has happened to you from travel…then I invite you to share in the comments box below. Think of how you are helping your fellow travellers to gain an even greater experience from travel. Thanks.

A Special Request:

We are looking for readers who may like to share your personal stories from travel in the hope that someone benefit…is this you? Then please email me on john@yourtravelplanners.com.au and I will show you what we require.Mostly though it is either short post like this up to about 600 words, but can be only 300 and 6 to 10 pics.

If it is easier I can interview for you for a few minutes as you narrate a selection of pictures which capture your experiences.

So until we next meet…

Take good care of yourself.

You probably going to think I have travel embedded in my mine…

and you know what, I think you are right!

On Sunday it was such a beautiful day. I said come on Nilla let’s get out and enjoy some fresh air.

We are going fishing over in a remote accessible only by 4×4 vehicle part of the South Coast that makes up part of the beautiful view from the very popular Albany windfarm.

As we always do now we packed in the video camera just in case we felt inspired by the magic of our surrounds.

And yes guessed it I was inspired…please check out how what inspired me just may work for you as well.

Better still let me know if I did hit a cord with you in the comment s box below.

So there you go get out and enjoy your local area…it just may inspire you. At the minimum I am sure you will find something to appreciate. WThis will make you feel good for sure?

Take care and be good.

It’s interesting how sometimes things seem to happen randomly…

and yet they are connected!!!

Yesterday a client came to my  office, which lead to a conversation talking about how travel seems to set people apart.

He said, you can tell instantly from a conversation whether that person has travelled or not.

That’s interesting… as I just wrote about how I believe travel can be such a great vehicle to teaching people more about life.

He went on to say people who are fortunate enough to travel usually have a more balanced perspective because of what they had experienced.

Maybe you agree with this or perhaps you don’t.

Either way I encourage you to read the post below and then watch the video to see what I had to say.

Then why not share your take on travel and what purpose it serves in your life.

Here’s to your purpose travel
